Jonathan is having surgery today

Pray for Jonathan he will be having surgery today at 2:00pm. He'll be getting his tonsils out, his adenoids out AGAIN, and his 11th set of PE tubes...Yes 11th! He just can't seem to keep them in place and working...sigh* This time we have a new ENT and he is the head ENT guru for our area. I'm soooo very thankful he took Jonathan on as a patient...you know another insurance thing...that's my life. I'm not to worried about the surgery, he's in Gods hands...what better place. My prayer is for Jonathan not to have much pain with the tonsils. The adenoids didn't seem to bother him and the PE tubes after 10 sets don't seem to be a big deal. I also, pray that he comes back out of the anesthesia fast, the last few times it seemed to linger in his system longer. He has a very high pain tolerance and is such a trooper. Thanks in advance for the prayers.

Laura,

I hope the surgery went well. I read all of the stories about little children that have to go through so much. They are all little troopers.

We need to learn from them!

Sorry I didn't know before so I could stop by and see my buddy-oops Mr. Mike's buddy :)! Please tell Jonathan we are praying for him. Spent the night at the museum last night so I am pretty tired. Hope you got some rest. Thanks for the text to tell me he was okay !
Love you
Tara

Hope Jonathan is eating better now.

I think I see the future Max in Jonathan. Really. Max is 6 1/2 years old and has had 6 or 7 sets tubes. Always has thick, thick goop in his ears. Currently he is tube free but one ear has fluid again so we are watching it.
Max also is not that verbal, I mean talking lots. He does yell lots! He does have some words and works so hard at them. He uses lots of signs as well.

Max has had his adenoids out but not tonsils. Something we have considered several times. They are pretty much 'kissing tonsils' but the ENT says so far it's best to not remove them. However he had strep several times this winter. So the ENT may be rethinking this.

Hope he is back to himself by now.
