The Memphis Zoo

Sunday before heading home we went to the Memphis Zoo. We had a wonderful time, and had the pleasure of taking Brian (Arthur's nephew) with us. It has been some time since we have had the joy of spending the day with Brian. This was the first time our 2 little boys have been around him, other than for a family function. As you can see from the pictures we saw lots of animals. Best of all the kids ran themselves out, it made the 6 hour trip back home MUCH more peaceful. If you live near the Memphis Zoo we highly recommend it...I guess you could say we are Zoo hoppers. We love going to zoos, New Orleans and Memphis being my favorite. We hope one day to make it to the San Diego Zoo.

Isn't it amazing how God created the animals each so unique.

Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to it's kind: cattle and creeping things and beast of the earth, each according to it's kind", and it was so.
Genesis 1:24

I also find it fascinating how Noah and his family took care of the animals on the ark, not to mention the persecution he went through about building the ark.

You shall take with you seven of every clean animal, a male and his female; two each of animals that are unclean, a male and a female; also seven each of birds of the air, male and female, to keep the species alive on the face of all the earth.
Genesis 7:2-3

Looks like fun! Nice slide show. Loved the gorilla. We don't have those in our zoo.

Hope you are members of the Chattanooga Zoo- their family memberships are "cheap" and they can get you in free or half price at other zoos. The San Diego Zoo is really nice- I hope you make it one day.
Okay think about these two things-
1. How in the world did Adam come up with all those names?
2. I think it must have really smelled on the ark! Tee Hee

I really admire Noah- as you know my office is covered in Noah's ark- but he is a man who stood strong in his faith when others around him mocked, laughed and were just plain mean to him but he never wavered. Oh what a great man of faith we can admire!
