Odd Kids

The other day Elizabeth said " Moma did you know that all of your kids are ODD but me". I wasn't quite sure what she meant, so I ask her. She said "I'm 16 and all the other kids are odd numbers" Then she handed me a piece of paper with all the kids ages on it. Where did the days go when I had time to think or reflect on things like mind is full and at times on overload. So, here are all the kids ages at present......

Elizabeth 16 yrs.
Amanda 15 yrs.
Rebekah 13 yrs.
Madison 11 yrs.
Jonathan 9 yrs.
James 7 yrs.
Stephen 5 yrs.
William 3 yrs.
Wesley 17 mo.

Elizabeth's rein of being the only kid who isn't odd won't last much longer. Tomorrow Wesley will join Elizabeth on the even side, on Monday William will be 4 and also join her. Followed by Jonathan and Stephen having birthdays in October, then in November by James. I'm sure Elizabeth will be pleased to have all of these on her side. The other 3 will remain odd for some time to come......I'm pretty sure we are ALL odd to some degree!

I have enjoyed that our 3 boys are all almost exactly 2 yrs apart with all birthdays in Oct. This year they will be 10, 8 and 6. So easy to remember. The other birthday I appreciate because it is easy to remember is Nathan's. He was born 04/04/04. I don't know about you but my mind is overwhelmed trying to remember all the years our children were born. This one is so easy to remember, I think God smiled when He arranged Nathan's birth date just for me:)

That's so cute! Every year from June 23 until August 4, the kids are either all even or all odd. This is our odd year. :) I love when someone asks us how old the kids are, we just say 1,3,5,8,9. Sam just became our even guy, until January when our first birthday of the year is.
By the way, thanks for stopping by our blog. Those cheeeiro bars are really good. I made them a little after lunch and well, they are gone already! I will need to doubel or triple the batch next time. :)I'msure you are used to doing that already.
