We're Back....

We went to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for the weekend. It was Philip's 50th birthday(Arthur's brother) and his wife gave him a big surprise party weekend. She rented a cabin and had Karen, Arthur, and Anna's families come to celebrate for the weekend. It was lots of fun and loads of memories were made. This is the group picture in front of our cabin, and yes our family took up the whole right side of the porch. Sunday morning as we were all leaving to go our separate ways heading back to Columbia, SC, Murfreesboro, TN, and Cleveland,TN we were a little sad to see the weekend over. I hope we can do it again, THANKS Markietta for a great weekend!

Hi, "Mom": I just posted a comment to your daughters blog (the flip flop page!) Hope you don't mind! We both just read Dorie. I found her from googling the title of the book and looking for the best prices on used copies.(thriftbooks.com has them for a penny a piece plus s/h). Congrats on homsechooling your tribe! I'm an official homeschool wannabe. But Poppa says no. Wisely, I beleive, since I am very disorganised. However, I wonder if the Lord gave me the desire years ago in order to prepare me to BE organised! Our oldest is 27and in med school. His heart was to go to seminary but he was received into a med program and dad pushed for that. Naomi is six and in public school first grade. 5 and 5. Well, it is late! I have allergies keeping me up, sneezing and such. Thanks for the wonderul blog! ~Suzanne

Ah, I met him, Phillip that is...I just kinda forgot to tell him my name. lol. Didn't even occur to me until we drove off and Mike pointed it out. :)

Oh and Amanda is looking more and more like your twin instead of your daughter...you look way too young to have children Elizabeth's age. :)
