You know you live in the SOUTH when....

You know you live in the SOUTH when....

they close school because it's to cold!!!

This is what happened all over the state of Tennessee on Friday. I'll admit it was cold for our area and dropped down to 6 degrees. Still there is a part of me that can't help but laugh, thinking what would our Canadian friends would think if they were here. I'm pretty sure they would think we were having some nice weather.....well just a thought!

They just closed them down because they were cold. Was there any ice or bad roads to be concern about? Kind of crazy/! We had school and it was the coldest week of the year so far and a stomach virus going through each child. What were they thinking!!

No ice or snow...in our neck of the woods. They just closed due to cold weather.

I will say that since we homeschool our kids don't have to brave the cold in the mornings. So I do feel for the kiddos who ride a bus...not fun. Our cold verse the cold up north is no where in the same ball park!

Ok, so I am trying not to laugh :D
I think here school is cancelled when the temp (with windchill) is
-45 C(-49 F)
So did you cancel school too?

I just laughed like crazy when they did this. I wonder if they will cancel schools tomorrow because of the flurries! It is beautiful outside right now. It's sticking to the grass and coming down hard!
