HOME!

That's where we are HOME! As much as we all enjoyed our trip/adventure it's always nice to be home. As Arthur unlocked and opened the door I began to smell it, the smell of home. I love the smell of our home, a smell only our house has. Then came the smiles on the little boys faces as they walked into the family room to check on their toys, and of course being in our own beds. Often I think of people who are "old" liking their own beds, because they only sleep well there. As I get older I see that loving the comfort off your own bed comes at any age. Last night as we drove into our driveway William stood up and said "I get to sleep in my own bed tonight, with my own covers".

We were also very excited about cooking "real" food again. We started with breakfast this morning, with baked oatmeal. This is a recipe I had wanted to try for awhile. When we were in Canada Rosalie prepared this for breakfast, we all loved it. So, this was our first meal at home and I'm looking forward to cooking a lot this week. I really missed cooking and none of us want to see a sandwich for several weeks.

Today we all worked together to get the house back in order and everything unpacked. We did 14 loads of laundry, and it's all folded. We cleaned up the RV, and Arthur and I drove it back down to Atlanta late this afternoon.

This will be a very busy week for us all. At home I'll be trying to get the boys focused on their chores and school work. The store will be very busy this week, which means I'll be short a big kid helper around here. By next week, things will be back in order. While in Grand Forks on our long hotel stay we had lots of time for talking. We worked up a new schedule for the store and at home, along with different chores. We haven't done this in some time and felt it was time for the bigger kids to move out of some chores and little guys to step up to new chores. This week I'm going to work on the new list for home, and each of the girls are going to work on their list for the store. Our hope is to have it posted and ready by next week. I'll let you know how we do and give you a look when we are finished.

Well, I'm off to bed. Tomorrow afternoon will start the post about or vacation and all the places we went....LOTS of pictures coming!

Even though it wasn't in your plan, isn't it neat the way God gave you some time to reorganize your schedules? It's almost like beginning a new year. You amaze me with your energy and discipline - - - all the laundry done and put away - - and the camper cleaned!!!!
