Yesterday was our second ultrasound and it was so exciting. Arthur and I watched the baby move, turn, and twist. We soaked it all in with amazement as if it were the first ultrasound we have ever seen. Later we both commented on the fact that an ultrasound is truly an unbelievable experience, seeing that small life. I'm not sure how one could watch an ultrasound and "not" believe in God...not just any god but The GOD, The Creator.
So, here you have it a precious photo of our sweet healthy baby!
Over the years after Jonathan was born an ultrasound for us has taken on a whole new meaning. Blood work didn't tell us of Jonathan's medical problems, it was the signs the ultrasound technician caught when preforming an ultrasound on me at 16 weeks pregnant with Jonathan. That was the beginning of a whole new view of what an ultrasound is for...at least for us. With the first 4 children we looked at the ultrasound as a neat way to see the baby, and find out the gender. Never had we thought about it as a means to tell us what may OR may not be wrong with our baby. This is why we now see an ultrasound in a whole different light, not to tell us what gender our baby will be but more importantly is our baby healthy. Thankfully yesterday we found out that our baby's heart, spine, and the ventricles in the brain all looked great. As well as the femur measuring right on target, we were also able to see sweet baby feet and hands.
The big question we have been ask is "so did you find out what your having"? Our answer to that question is "No"! Boy or Girl it doesn't really matter to us, for we know that the Lord has chosen to give us what will fit perfectly into our family. So the surprise could have come yesterday or in August, and we decided just to wait until August. At this moment all I can think about is how perfect Baby Munck looked and how active Baby was. There was one point the baby looked as though he/she was boxing, and within a minute Baby was trying to get it's hand in it's mouth. August will be here before we know it and Baby will be here to add more joy to our family.
