Memories Monday & A Birthday Celebration

Memories Past....

This is my grandmother Ann Travis better known as Nonnie as we refer to her. Her birth name being Anna Mae Herod, later married my grandfather and becoming a Travis. She was born on December 30, 1919. She was the 3rd child and 3rd daughter of 9 children. Last month she turned 90 and that's something to celebrate! So here are a few photos from her past....

Nonnie's
90th Birthday Party

On January 3, 2010 we had a 90th birthday party for Nonnie. We had a wonderful time of fellowship and talking of old times with relatives young and old!

There were lots of yummy finger foods....

Birthday Cake....

Gifts....

Wee ones, Carter a great-great grandchild, Rozalin and William her great-grandchildren...

Older ones with years of wisdom like a sister, brothers, nephews, nieces, and sister in laws.....

And 3 great-granddaughters who think their Nonnie is the BEST!!!!!
We value very much the years we have spent with Nonnie, all that she has taught us and for all the love she has given to each of us. We pray to have many more years with her.

It was a pleasure to meet sweet 'Nonnie' this past summer. She showed such kindness to all of us it was almost like we had known her forever. I hope we will be able to meet again. Happy 90th year Nonnie!
