A few weeks ago...

Our oldest girls went with Arthur to Callaway Gardens, for the Father and Daughter Retreat with Vision Forum. The boys and I were left at home for 3 days, so we filled our week end full. In This Post I told about the boys and I working on a project. Here are a few pictures of the Easter project/craft the boys made. All the boys had a part from designing, drawing, coloring, cutting, and taping. They really enjoyed putting this together as a surprise for the girls and their dad.

Palm Sunday...

And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. Now it came to pass , while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven. And they worshiped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy

7 months......

(Ruth Ella & Adeline, Amanda's bunny)

Miss Ruth Ella

7 months old

Ruth Ella has learned a lot of new thing this past month.
She learned to sit up,
and she finally learned to roll over from her back to her tummy.
Ruth Ella has been doing a lot of babbling,
and now she has perfected the
word/sound Da-Da.....
and yes it melts Arthur's heart!

Ruth Ella is now eating fruits and veggies.
Peas are her favorite, as you can see them smeared
on her face while wearing a big smile!

Ruth Ella
The Perfect 10!

(being the 10th child)

Our sweet friends Tom and Sandra Rowland
had this bib made for
Miss Ruth Ella
when she was born, and we think it's very fitting!!!

We look forward to seeing what milestones this month will hold :)

How do you know your kids have fun outside?

Without having to ask I have discovered a true sign to tell if my boys have had fun playing outside.....

It's not by their smiling faces.....

Or all the adventurous things they attempt and try.....

It's not even by watching the sun shine down on them, as they search the great outdoors for another rock, stick, or moving shadow.......Nope, it's none of these!

I can tell from the grim and rings they leave in the clean tub after their bath!!! YEP, that's how their mama can tell ;)

So, how can you tell without words?

Grandma Elizabeth

(Wesley stood like this on his own, so sweet)

Elizabeth Parson Munck
was called home
by our Lord.

Though our children never
had the chance to meet
their Grandma
face to face,
they know from all the
stories they have heard about
her she was one in a million.
She loved the Lord and her family
beyond measure,
she was a woman of great faith,
she enjoyed sharing God's Word with others,
lead many to the Lord,
she was a nurse with a servants heart,
a prayer warrior,
loved to laugh and gather for fellowships,
and now she is with our Lord

Our children love her very much,
and know one day they will see her
in heaven!

March Birthdays

March 1st
Elizabeth turned 18!!!

For Elizabeth's birthday menu we had
chicken & stuffing,
cooked carrots,
garlic cheese bread.
A giant cupcake
banana pudding
(Elizabeth's favorite)
were dessert for her birthday.

Elizabeth's birthday theme was baking,
one of her favorite hobbies.

The boys helped with the decorations,
and each one designed a giant cupcake to hang.

Elizabeth and Ruth Ella

Rebekah made Ruth Ella a cupcake skirt
to go with the birthday theme.
She was like
a little of the decoration:)

Rebekah also made Elizabeth a cupcake apron. of friends!

18 candles...WOW!

Elizabeth's birthday seemed to go by so fast,
very much like the past 18 years.
Not sure how it happened but it truly passed
in the blink of an eye.
Arthur and I have so enjoyed the first
18 years watching Elizabeth grow into a lady.
We look forward to the years ahead into adult life,
and pray that she will continue to become like the
Proverbs 31 woman.

We love you

Wesley's 3rd Birthday
We started Wesley's birthday off with a
trip down to the
Tennessee Aquarium.

March 7th
Wesley turned

We came back home to a Cowboy party!

For a city boy Wesley is all about
cows and horses!
Wesley has so much energy
he needs
to be set free to run on a farm.....
not sure how long a farm could handle Wesley;)

The proud "Cowboy" with his cake and presents.

Wesley's birthday menu

Elizabeth's homemade pizza,
raw carrots and celery,
with ranch dip,
(or as Wesley refers to them candy balls)

A lassoing cowboy
tops the cake

3 boot candles

Wesley couldn't wait to get the cowboy
off the top of the cake for a little playtime
with his barn.

Wesley's 3rd birthday
was a very full day,
we had a great day celebrating
Cowboy Wesley!

We love you

(as he calls himself)

Our family spent Easter outside in God's beauty. This is a view of Parksville Lake, in Benton Tennessee.

Today was so clear and the view was amazing.

This is one of the sites we took in as we were going to Chilhowee, located in the Tennessee National Forest.

James took this picture...thanks James!

What a glorious day to celebrate The Risen Savior!

We had a picnic lunch.

The boys enjoyed skipping stones in the lake.

We had very warm weather here today, it was in the 80's.

After lunch and stone skipping we decided to set out for Benton Falls.

This was half walk/half hike.

Jonathan was slow moving on the hike to the falls and even slower on the walk back. I must admit the walk to the falls seemed to be a lot easier than the walk back ;) He did a good job, it was a lot of walking on uneven ground.

Ruth Ella slept the whole way to the falls. I'm not sure how because she wasn't in her sling the right way but she enjoyed her nap.

Then there was Wesley who had a free ride 80% of the way there on Rebekah. On the hike/walk back Madison and Rebekah split the time carrying Wesley. He truly had it made!

Benton Falls was well worth the hike!

The kids enjoyed the cool clear water.

Ruth Ella after her nap watching and listening to the falls.

The rocks were slippery and we ended up with a few scratches. I was very surprised none of the kids fell in.

Even without a picnic, sunshine, warm weather, the falls, and family time this would have been an outstanding day. For we serve a "Risen Savior" and we praise Him for His mercy and grace! May we have this mindset 365 days a year, thank you Jesus for taking my sins!
