How do you know your kids have fun outside?

Without having to ask I have discovered a true sign to tell if my boys have had fun playing outside.....

It's not by their smiling faces.....

Or all the adventurous things they attempt and try.....

It's not even by watching the sun shine down on them, as they search the great outdoors for another rock, stick, or moving shadow.......Nope, it's none of these!

I can tell from the grim and rings they leave in the clean tub after their bath!!! YEP, that's how their mama can tell ;)

So, how can you tell without words?

Hmmm....the muddy boots on the porch, the hand prints on the front door, the puddles of dirty water around the bathroom sink or the mud soaked clothing left on the bathroom floor ~ all sure give-aways that fun has been had :-)

Tooo funny!

The husband comes in with sun-kissed face and arms for lunch and rather than taking watching a game on TV or taking a nap, he heads back out the door after eating.

Ditto for me on your post!!! That's a good indicator...the left-overs in the tub:)

I would also add the fact that if they more than the normal amount of baths for the week...that's a good sign, too!

That reminds me of the blue sand in the bottom of my tub. Roz loves her blue crayola sand. Not really a good idea on my part! But she has fun and I can always tell if she's clean if the sand is in the tub and not on her scalp. I have pictures of our tub with a blue gritty sand bottom.

At the center it's usually the red glowing faces & the aroma of sweaty children that lets me know that they've had fun. And, of course, the trail of pea gravel going from door to classroom.

I really like your birthday posts. It's neat to see how fun & creative all the birthdays are.

I'm amazed at how quickly my boys feet can get so dirty so quick. And sometimes even with socks on.
