Our family spent Easter outside in God's beauty. This is a view of Parksville Lake, in Benton Tennessee.

Today was so clear and the view was amazing.

This is one of the sites we took in as we were going to Chilhowee, located in the Tennessee National Forest.

James took this picture...thanks James!

What a glorious day to celebrate The Risen Savior!

We had a picnic lunch.

The boys enjoyed skipping stones in the lake.

We had very warm weather here today, it was in the 80's.

After lunch and stone skipping we decided to set out for Benton Falls.

This was half walk/half hike.

Jonathan was slow moving on the hike to the falls and even slower on the walk back. I must admit the walk to the falls seemed to be a lot easier than the walk back ;) He did a good job, it was a lot of walking on uneven ground.

Ruth Ella slept the whole way to the falls. I'm not sure how because she wasn't in her sling the right way but she enjoyed her nap.

Then there was Wesley who had a free ride 80% of the way there on Rebekah. On the hike/walk back Madison and Rebekah split the time carrying Wesley. He truly had it made!

Benton Falls was well worth the hike!

The kids enjoyed the cool clear water.

Ruth Ella after her nap watching and listening to the falls.

The rocks were slippery and we ended up with a few scratches. I was very surprised none of the kids fell in.

Even without a picnic, sunshine, warm weather, the falls, and family time this would have been an outstanding day. For we serve a "Risen Savior" and we praise Him for His mercy and grace! May we have this mindset 365 days a year, thank you Jesus for taking my sins!

The falls are gorgeous and definitely worth the walk. I have not been there but it would be a day we should consider - - - if we didn't turn our ankles or knees on the terrain. We seem to do better on more even surfaces. It is impressive that no one fell in the water - - - accidentally or on purpose!

I'm surprised no kids got soaked. Mine would have been. Crocs are slippery so again, surprised no one fell in!

Great pics
