Muddy...that's the only word that comes to mind when I think of our yard. Since the flood last Friday we have finally gotten the yard cleaned up from all the sticks, limbs, and debris that floated down our way. For the past several days we have seen very little of the sun and way more rain than I'd like. The yard hasn't had a chance to soak in all the water, making playing outside next to impossible. The boys really need to go outside for an extended period of time to RUN out some bottled up energy!!! It doesn't look likely for the next few days. So, I guess the boys will continue to race cars in the kitchen, build train tracks, read books, and play games....but I think they'd rather be swimming, swinging, and playing ball. I know their mama would like for them to be doing those things, since it helps burn off that boy energy :)

Oh, so glad your pool didn't get the flood waters, too. My parents live in a flood zone, and have been hit a number of times with floods. And when Gerard and I were in our first home, we also were hit with one. Such a strange sight to see boats rowing past your house, isn't it? Any evacuations in your area?
Blessings to you all!

Oh do I understand what you mean about the kids needing to run around outside and get out extra energy. We haven't had bad weather but with the roofers and the framers building my patio covering, the kids have not been able to go out and play around here either. The roof and the patio should be finished in a couple of day so I plan on sending them out!!! Hope the rain settles down and the water goes away quickly :)
