Memories Monday....Arthur's Birthday

On June 3 we celebrated Arthur's birthday! What a fun day it was. Arthur and I went out for lunch and a little shopping, while the kids decorated and cooked for his birthday dinner.

The theme for Arthur's birthday was Butterfingers, his favorite candy :)

When we celebrate Arthur's birthday it has a double meaning as I have mentioned before. June 3rd is the day of his birth, and the same day and month of his "last" round of chemo. So, Arthur's cancer free birthday is NOW 6 years!!!!! We are so very thankful to our Heavenly Father for each year He has given us with Arthur/Daddy, and we pray to celebrate many more Lord willing!

Smiles of JOY!!!

I loved this picture of Arthur. Most may see a man that's ready to eat a sweet treat, in his eyes I see a man who feels blessed beyond measure for life and family.

Homemade Butterfinger ice cream cake...yum! It didn't last long ;)
