Memories Monday

This past summer we had our first garden, so I thought I'd share it with you.

April 2010

My brother David built us 7 raised beds, 6 for veggies and 1 for herbs.

We were all really excited about being able to plant and watch our own veggies grow.

All we needed was some dirt and plants!
(somewhere I have dirt and planting pictures but I couldn't find them)

May 2010

Now things were beginning to grow.

Squash and radishes

Lettuce 2 kinds, yum!

June 2010

By June the garden had really taken off and started to produce!

It didn't take long before we could start to cook and eat our veggies. This was a wonderful learning experience for our family. Next year we hope to have a few more boxes and add a few more veggies.

Now that summer is over and we have ushered in fall, I'm starting to miss our fresh veggies and little garden.

Now we'll plan for next spring :)

I love growing a garden! ;o) Your little labels are wonderful! Where did you find them? Are you planning on doing a fall garden?

Love the garden! We have wanted to do one for years but never took the time to start one. You have inspired me once again. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

Your family and my Amanda did a great job growing produce this year. We have too many trees in our yard to even grow grass.

What fun!! I love seeing the beginnings of a garden. Such promise. Every year I try to expand our garden, even if it is only by one plant or one row bigger :-)

So encouraging to see yours from start to finish~

Great garden! What joy it is to partake in the "fruit" of your hard work. Look forward to seeing what is growing in your yard in the spring!

I want to be that person who grows a garden. But I'm not. I wish I lived closer so I could come over for a salad!
