February Birthdays!

FEBRUARY 11....

Was REBEKAH'S 15th Birthday!

This is the snow that we had on Rebekah's birthday.
I thought this was such a neat treat.
The day Rebekah was born we had a big snow mixed with ice,
and that was the last time we have had snow
on February 11th.

Sewing was the theme for Rebekah's birthday.
We bought 3 coordinating fabrics and
hung them
on the kitchen windows to make curtains.
The tree was decorated in ribbon and sewing notions.
The decorations were part of Rebekah's gift.

Rebekah chose to have
spaghetti and meatballs,
carrots,
broccoli,
and sweet potato rolls
for her birthday dinner.
Rebekah was excited to see the theme.
On our children's birthday they go to our store and work.
Sounds kind of sad but really they like it this way,
because when they get home that evening their party begins.
The birthday person gets to pick out their birthday menu,
but
that's all they know about the party.
The rest of the family comes up with the theme,
we try
to choose a theme on that persons interest
or around their main birthday gift. So each birthday it's
almost as if the birthday person is getting a surprise party.
We just love to see their faces!

YUM...CAKE!!!
Hard to believe there are 15 candles on her cake!

We had a wonderful evening celebrating
REBEKAH,
WE LOVE HER "SEW" MUCH!!!

FEBRUARY 13
Madison turned 13!!!

Madison's birthday theme was archery.
Madison's birthday meal was
salmon,
green beans,
baked potatoes,
and
Duggar rolls.

Madison's birthday was on a Saturday. So we
celebrated his birthday in the afternoon, and ate a late lunch.
Since our business is only opened 3 hours on Saturday this didn't give
us much time. Madison and James stayed down at the
store 2 hours after closing until we were ready,
but they didn't mind waiting.

Madison got an archery set for his birthday,
he's really impressed how archery is an Olympic sport.

Madison had an Oreo ice cream cake for his birthday.

"13"
I'm not sure how 13 came so fast!
I'm equally amazed that we now have 4
young adults in our house now...sigh*
It's so much fun all the growing and changing,
each phase full of memories.

The Tale of 3 Sisters...

Once there were 2 older sisters. Sister 1 created a precious tutu for the Baby sister, Sister 2 like Sister 1 couldn't wait to play dress up with Baby Sister.

Baby Sister with big bright eyes wasn't sure what to think?!?

Sister 1 & 2 dressed Baby Sister in her tutu, and decided a photo shoot was needed.

Baby Sister was placed on her tummy and the picture snapping began. But this position just didn't flatter Baby Sister or her precious tutu....something must be done?!? Sister 1 & 2 had an idea we'll sit Baby Sister up!

They tried to sit Baby Sister up but they found out quite quickly that wasn't going to be an easy task, because Baby Sister doesn't know how to sit up! With a diaper, round baby bum, and noodle back Baby Sister toppled to and fro. So, they began to put their heads together and figure out how to keep Baby Sister sitting upright.

After several minutes of leaning to and fro, they got Baby Sister fixed just right.

Sister 1 & 2 were very proud of Baby Sister, she had behaved very well throughout the whole process and oh those sweet faces she made :) But how did Baby Sister sit up so well?

Sister 2 was her support!!!

After Sister 1 and Sister 2 were finished with Baby Sister this is what she did~ZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!

Wordless Wednesday...dress-up

Blog neglect...

You know your blog has been very neglected when all that you seem to be posting is Wordless Wednesday...cause it's a nobrainer! Life seems to keep me to busy to sit to finish a full post along with having migraine head aches on and off. I have started several post but haven't finished them, hopefully I'll get them finished in the next few days. So, I haven't abandoned the blog...I will be back with more than just pictures :)

Happy Valentine's Day

Most often when you think of Valentine's Day you think of LOVE! As I was writing in Arthur's Valentine's Day card another image of Valentine's Day came to mind the image of CUPID. I thought about Cupid for a few moments and how Cupid applies to Arthur and I. The thought went a little deeper than just Cupid, I began to think about the arrows that Cupid holds in his quiver. On Valentine's Day Cupid goes out with his quiver full of arrows, and he's ready to launch those arrows towards the mark of true love.

Arthur and I are much like Cupid, in the fact that we to hold a quiver. This quiver in which we hold now carries 10 arrows, none of which we own. For you see our Heavenly Father has blessed us with the privilege to care for, shape, and mold these arrows in His ways. For the day will come when our quivers arrows will be released, and I pray the target in which they hit will be for His glory... and they will spread the good news of the Priceless Love of GOD!

As arrows are in the hand of a mighty warrior; so are children of youth. Happy is the man who hath his quiver full of them Psalms 127:4 & 5

Memories Monday...California

California trip....
January 2008
I posted about this trip HERE.
As I looked back at these pictures I was reminded of all
Arthur and I learned while on that trip to California.
This trip help us to see what we were to be doing as parents to
teach our children, in the ways of the Lord and
keeping our children's hearts.

Arthur and Wesley at the airport before we left.

Wesley was 10 months old and this was his first time to fly.

When we got to Anaheim Wesley was ready to get down and walk around,
and play with the suite cases. He was very good on the plane.

This was Knott's Berry farm we ate at the restaurant,
it was yummy country cooking.

The beautiful California mountains.

We visited the Queen Mary.
This was really neat, I had been there when I was 6.
My mother, grandmother, and 3 siblings visited
the Queen Mary with my great aunt Marie, who lived
in California...great memories!

California sunset....amazing!

My love
taking in a view of the God's
wonderful creation.

I hope one day we'll be able to take a trip back out to California with our whole family.

Memories Monday

Memories Monday
September 2004
What do you put in a T.V.
cabinet if you don't have a T.V.???

TODDLERS and...

BABIES!!!
This is the kind of thing that happens when
your older sisters used you as their baby dolls;)
Lots of memories and great times!!!
The first picture is Stephen, he was 23 months old. And the infant well that was William and he was only 4 weeks old. We couldn't believe how much Wesley looks like Stephen at that age. I didn't even remember these pictures, Arthur found them on an old computer. We had fun this past weekend looking at pictures from 5 and 6 years ago...boy how the children have grown. We have since gotten rid of the T.V. cabinet so you won't see any pictures of Ruth Ella sleeping in it :)
