The last of our snow.....

This morning I was peering out the window into the backyard when I caught a glimpse of something on our trampoline. It was a football size clump of ice/snow left from the big snow last Monday. That clump is the only one remaining in our yard, all the other snow and ice melted away . We were thrilled the snow stayed around for over a week, others in our area weren't so happy with the snow. So, when I saw the clump of ice/snow dripping from the center of the trampoline it kind of made me sad. See we enjoyed the snow, it was such a drastic change for us here in southeast Tennessee. I enjoyed the calm that the snow brought to our home and community. For our family we aren't really fast paced people but because we work with the public daily it has a way of pulling us into the world hurry and rush! So, it was great to see everyone have to slow down. We soaked in the calm and beauty of the snow, along with hot cocoa, steaming tea, cookie baking, games, snuggling, reading, a warm fire, and yes our house project. But best of all we enjoyed the gift of snow that the Lord blessed us with. I will always stand amazed at the fact that no two snowflakes are the same, and how pure"white" snow is.......Oh to be pure as snow! Here are a few more pictures of something else we enjoyed about the snow, for the kids it was sledding, for me it was watching my children enjoy the gift of snow.

Rebekah and Ruth Ella taking the boys on a sled ride in the yard.

This was on Saturday, we were in shock that we had this much snow after 6 days!

The boys all took turns riding....

William and Wesley could have been pulled around all day long......

Laughs, giggles, hoops, and hollers is what you could hear echoing from all around......

On Saturday the children spent almost 6 hours outside playing in the snow.

All that golf cart riding, snow, and cold made one little girl plain tuckered out ;)

Most people in our area would call me crazy but I would welcome a snow like that any day! I think I'll pray for a little more, can't hurt , can it?!?

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Psalms 51:7

Looks like you guys completely enjoyed the snow!! He were hit with a big snow storm yesterday. school was canceled today. However, I was out today and the roads were just fine. We have roughly 7 inches of snow out there though! I'm hoping it is good for snowmen this weekend. Our last storm was too dry and fluffy.

Ruth Ella is getting so big! She is changing.

Love how Jonathon played in the snow.

Looks like you folks were blessed with a nice portion of that white fluffy stuff. Amazing how something like that can put you in a totally different mode for awhile. Especially if you don't expect ot to stay thay long. Wonderful that you could enjoy it and get some real good family memrories made.

WOW!!! You DID get some snow!!! Beautiful! I have to admit, I do not like the cold that much, but being pulled on a sled looks like a lot of fun! I think I would have tried it a time or two, or three!
And yes, "Jesus, wash us and make whiter than snow!!!"

We got plenty down here in our area too. Our kids had a great time sledding, throwing snowballs and even shoveling. We enjoyed it while it lasted. Looks like you all did too.

I love your snow posts! I need to be more thankful for it. It is a beautiful part of God's creation, and I tend to wish it away. I enjoyed your post about Jonathan as well. What a sweetheart!

Thank you so much for your offer to pass down the boys coats! Just let me know when you're ready to get rid of them, and I'll send you $$ for shipping.

Looking forward to "after" pictures of your project!
