Oh I LOVE Rebekah's bags and I LOVE school supplies. I'm "afraid" I've passed that love on to the girls too. : )

And I don't think I could narrow down my favorite thing about homeschooling so I'll give the most obvious. I love obeying Scripture. : ) LOL. I love the opportunity to further our children's growth in the Lord through academic studies. I love seeing them learn new things.I could go on and on but I've got one that needs a diaper change.

Love you,
Emily

I'd love to be entered for the bag of supplies. The bag is gorgeous! Love the pink and black together. I would give it to a young homeschool girl we know who would love it.

For another chance for the school supplies, I'll say what my favorite part of homeschooling was. We homeschooled for 17 years and loved it. Besides the closeness it allowed our family to have, we all enjoyed current event days. The children would report every week on something of interest to them in the news, delve more into it, and come up with a report. Often it would involve dressing up to illustrate the story, making a project, cooking something connected with the article, or whatever. We all thoroughly enjoyed the activity and looked forward to all the creativeness each week!

I absolutely LOVE the school bag! What talented girls! My children would love all the fun school supplies! What a nice give away!

It is such a joy to be at home with my children! My first grader has improved so much with her reading! What a joy to see the "light bulb" turn on! Her love for school is catching. My 3 yr old is working hard to learn his letters, numbers and to blend. Our day begins with Bible and there is nothing more precious than hearing them quote the Word of God and to pray to Him. ONe more thing, I love the flexibility of taking our school with us when we travel. My daughter never misses a lesson! Teaching our children is such a great responsibility and a JOY!

My favorite thing about homeschooling my children is fulfilling my God-given duty and privilege to "train my children up in the way that they should go." I'm so thankful and blessed to have them with me 24/7!!

The bag is super adorable and oh-so-tempting, but the earrings are my first pick for your kind give-away. What a fun way to wear the likeness of one of my favorite flying creatures-- butterflies. :)

I would have loved to been home schooled but part of my schooling was able to be accomplished in a private school. The best part for me was the Bible memory in our English curriculum. I memorized whole sections of Scripture that still stick with me today. What a blessing!

My favorite thing about homeschooling is knowing where my children are and what they are doing ALL DAY LONG. Educationally I LOVE being a teacher! I love discovering things together, seeing their excitedment as they learn something new, I don't think there is ONE thing that I DISLIKE about homeschooling!!! It is my life passion to obey the Word and train up my children!

Nikki said...

I just posted about your giveaway on my blog.

Nikki said...

While we haven't been homeschooling very long (four weeks), my favorite thing is knowing that I am the biggest influence on my children, not their teachers or the other children in their classes.

I would love the cute little tote and so would my little girls! Thanks!

What I love most about home educating my children is the flexibility it has given us as a family. Being a military family and with my husband currently deployed and having a baby (without him), it has been wonderful to not have to worry about a 'schedule' and running them to/from school, etc. I am able to school how it fits us and adapt to life's changes. :)

I am going for the bag of supplies and if I win it, I will give it to Amanda for her classroom!

Lynda said...

I loved the four and a half years we home-schooled. It was relaxing in the sense we set our own schedule. We were able to take some great field trips when we visited my mom in NY. Our girls stayed healthier due to getting enough rest and not being exposed to sick children at school. The school day was shorter. And we got to use Christian curriculum - - - so rich in incorporating God in every aspect of their learning.

Carolyn Rissler said...

Thanks for your wonderful blog. it has blessed me greatly. I love that pretty bag and school supplies!
May God bless you for giving of your time to encourage other ladies!

Also of my favorite things about homeschooling is the opportunity to spend the entire day with my children. I feel it takes TIME to establish a strong relationship, so homeschooling is the answer!

Several things I love about homeschooling even though we have our tough/rough days is the fact that we are able to be together, spend time with one another, the kids siblings are their best friends, we can mold, shape, and prepare our children for this world, and we can set our schedule to fit our needs for our family.

"Teaching them the things and the ways of the Lord when they rise up and when they go to bed!"

We love schooling at home for many, many reasons!
It is for our family a conviction from the Lord & we feel we are learning together "all" the time & "always" able to have the truth of the Lord in all & every class, subject etc!
For our family...it's much much more than books! :)
God bless~
