Christmas baking...

Every year the week before Christmas we always do some baking to give away. Well, this year our store was very busy, so I was short handed on bakers. I looked around and found 2 willing helpers....no to mention the oldest children at home;)

Wesley and William were very excited to let the baking begin!!!! Wesley sadly had to wear the pink apron (because we only own 1 little boy apron). He informed me rather quickly that pink wasn't his favorite color, and that he wished he had an orange apron....note to self make Wesley and orange apron. Wesley also had new rain boots and felt the need to wear them to bake :)

The W's were GREAT little bakers....

They took turns and worked as a team.....

We made 6 loaves of banana bread and 5 loaves of soft oat bread....

When Ruth Ella woke from her nap, she joined the baking crew. Of course she wanted to wear the pink apron....

And her "new" rain boots...with the tag still attached! Not sure if Wesley and Ruth Ella were trying to create a new accessory to wear while baking:)

Ah the finished bread, waiting to be delivered .....

And an extra fun day with a few of my littles :)
Photo taken by the oldest helper William age 7!

OOPS...Blooper Photo!
This is the photo you get when Wesley 4 year old tries to hold a heavy camera with a long lens......
You get a funny photo, loaded with memories!

They did a great job with the baking AND with the camera! You are a great mom to let them try their hand at many, many things. It builds confidence and skills.

Oh what fun! Love the rainboots. I'll bet Rebekah can whip him up a mighty fine orange apron.

That last photo! love it :-)

You are beaming....I'd almost say pregnant beaming :-) You glow dear Mama!

I love banana bread. One of my favorite things to do with my children is have all of us baking & working in the kitchen. They love to join in because they get to be taste testers :-)

A letter is on it's way to you~

what sweet helpers you have. Every year we want to do something like this but never seem to get to it on the list. Maybe one year you all will be surprised when we knock at your door. You all are so sweet and you made our day! So glad Sammy and the kids got to visit at the concert the other night too. Hope we can all get together soon so we can catch up too! Love the pictures they took!!!
