The flow of life....

Often the flow of life can be much quicker than we can keep up with, and we must check ourselves not to get caught up in the rapid flow. This past week we had a death in our family, Arthur's first cousin Mary Ann. This was such a great lose to us, she will be greatly missed....my heart breaks for her mother and siblings. We find comfort in knowing she had a wonderful faith in the Lord, and she is now with her son Bob and husband Mack who went on to be with the Lord before her. Mary Ann's passing was yet, another reminder to me of what the Bible says "we know not the time of the Lord's return" and "we are not promised tomorrow"! Since we don't know when we are going to be called home or of the time of the Lord's return, shouldn't we be thinking about each day as our last? I want my time on this earth to be spent in a meaningful way, I want to live each day to it's fullest. Being in God's Word each day, growing in Him, and seeking to serve Him ......not being caught in the flow of the world! Oh to live life simply, and soak in those around me and reach out to those in need. Today I look at the faces of my children and husband, and just the simple day to day life we have..... I'm thankful to the Lord for I know I am blessed!

Praying for your family. It is a sad time. But it is also that reminder to hold fast to the ones here and to love them every moment!

Just ran across your blog. What a beautiful family! Sorry about your cousins death. We too have had a family friend die recently and it such a good reminder to live for God everyday as if its our last day.
