MISS MARY ANN
TURNED 1 !!!
Her birthday party was a Hippo theme.....
This was the first theme I saw for Mary Ann's birthday, and I thought it was to cute. It just reminded me of Mary Ann. I looked at several other themes and then shared them all with the family. We took a poll and it was unanimous for the Hippo theme...they too thought this hippo and theme said "Mary Ann".
Daddy carrying Mary Ann into the party....
She wasn't sure what to think of her siblings singing Happy Birthday to her and all the decorations.....
She enjoyed the balloons most of all....
Daddy walked her around to take in all the decorations, which made her babble, squeal, and point.
Mary Ann had her own little birthday cake for digging her little pudgy hands into.

Mary Ann's cake was not our normal birthday cake, because we are still trying to eat healthy. In January our family had a total lifestyle change with our eating, we are still eating this way and making changes as we go. We all feel so much better, we continue to see a difference in our bodies along with our health. So, Miss Mary Ann's cake was made with soy flour, making it gluten free. Now the icing....well, it was made with powdered sugar, not healthy at all!
These thumbprint cookies were completely sugar free, and they were delicious!

O-N-E....how could she be 1 already?!?
Baby hands, PRICELESS!
This was Mary Ann's first taste of 'real' sugar, she wasn't really sold on it. She nibbled on it, but never did dig in. In fact after this picture was taken we took the cake away, she didn't even care.
Mary Ann may not have liked the cake and icing to much, but she gobbled up the homemade chocolate ice cream....made with honey. She is wearing a little chocolate on her face, yum ♥
This was a celebration to remember! We are so thrilled that the Lord blessed our family with Mary Ann. She brings us such joy with her silly gestures that are accompanied by her contagious smile. We look forward to watching her grow, I pray we as a family teach her the ways of the Lord.....
