Amanda's Birthday

19 on the 19th

Amanda is now 19, not sure how that happened?!? Life sure moves fast!

Amanda's theme was, what else but the Titanic!

Rebekah decorated the tree in vintage items gathered from her great grandmother and a great aunt. She also purchased a few items to pull it all together...she had a lot of fun with this.
Cupcakes, yum!

Since Amanda's birthday was on a Sunday we had a day of celebration,
it started off with breakfast!

Elizabeth made a tasty veggie quiche,
Panera Bread did the baking :)

She was really excited about the theme, which made me happy. I had been planning this theme since May after Arthur and I found the Life 100th Anniversary Titanic book.

Breakfast Menu:
Veggie Quiche
Bagels w/honey walnut cream cheese
Scones
Muffins
Strawberries
Grapes
Orange Juice
Milk
Coffee

After breakfast it was on to presents.....

We gave Amanda several little things for her birthday but her big gift was the Kindle Touch.
She didn't have any idea that was what she was getting. For the past couple of months she has been putting money back to buy one.

That evening we had a birthday dinner, cupcakes, and homemade ice cream.

Dinner Menu:
Barbecue
Macaroni & Cheese
Peas
Raw carrots & cucumbers

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16

Trick candles are always funny,
especially when you haven't bought them in years :)

We had a great day celebrating Amanda, and the gift that she is to each of us!

Amanda,
we pray the Lord lead and guide you in the year ahead. May His light shine through you.
We love you

Very Happy Birthday to Amanda. We have a dress for Sarah with the same fabric in the skirt Amanda is wearing. She looks so pretty in the pictures by the way. I need to give you that dress for ones of your little girls so they will match. Happy Birthday from the Parris Family!!!!

About the Kindle - - - we hope to have electronic books in the FBC Library in 2013. She will be able to download Christian materials for free!!!!
And you can currently do that through the public library, too if your library card is current.

Happy Birthday, Amanda! You all have the best birthday parties! Puts me to shame. :) I bet she'll love the Kindle! Adam got a Kindle Fire for free recently (from a dental rep company) and he gave it to me for my birthday. It's great!

Happy Birthday Amanda! I love the Titanic theme; nobody I know has ever had a birthday like that. Very creative! I wonder if they really served BBQ and macaroni on the Titanic? :)
Oh, and pink is a perfect color for you! It makes your blue eyes absolutely sparkle:)
Hoping to see you soon,
Abby
