To close out Down Syndrome Awareness Month we decided to have a party to celebrate
Jonathan and those who have Down Syndrome.
The tree decorated in Down Syndrome Awareness Ribbons
and a yellow star, Jonathan was the star of the evening.

The decorations were all in yellow and blue,
which were so bright and cheery....
very fitting for celebrating!
31 for 21
We hope many people during the month of October saw the real side of Ds,
those with Ds are just like you and I!
Jonathan was excited about this celebration!
On the menu was....
- Queso Dip & Chips
- Baked Beans
- Sub Sandwiches & Grill Cheese
Dessert: Carmel Dip & Apples
A bit of Chocolate~
I made these Ds cards and placed them on the table, on the reverse side there was a scripture reference.
After dinner we had a time of scripture reading. The scriptures selected had a meaning that went hand in hand with Jonathan's life. In Jonathan's 14 years he has endured more than most people do in a lifetime. After reading we then one by one went around telling Jonathan what he means to each of us, what we admire and love about him.....this is something we do at birthdays but chose to do at our Ds celebration! This was a very special evening for all of us, I believe we'll have this party every year.
