It may seem silly to be thankful for letters, to me it's a special treat. I like to send letters as much as I like to receive them. Email is fine but call me "old school" because I love a handwritten letter best :) In this day and age where everything is rush, rush, rush and HURRY...to go open the mail box and see a letter from someone near and dear...Squeal~ I get excited! Once I receive a letter, I wait until my littles are down for a nap so I can sit and read...this way it's as if I'm having a chat with the sender ;) On occasion I even get letters from one of my children, those letters aren't sent in the mail...but are oh so special! Isn't it wonderful to read encouragement from family and friends, to listen to their hearts in matters of prayer needs, and stay updated on happenings. Letters are something I'm thankful for, silly as it may seem.
Now I need to go finish a letter I have started to a Pen Pal, so she can get a little treat when she opens her mail box :)
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
