Days of sorrow....

Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.
Matthew 5:4

Our blog has been silent due to grief in the passing of my step-father and children's Paps.

Lee "Buddy" Leek
Sept. 2, 1936 - Jan. 30, 2013

He has been "my" Buddy, Dad, & Paps
for the past 33 years!!!

 Life will not be the same without him here...
our hearts are deeply grieved,
 for we are selfish and would love to have him here with us to share our daily loves.
Yet, on Wednesday the Lord called him home,
for his body was sick and tired....
Now he is pain free and resting in peace.
So, as much as we grieve we rejoice for where Paps is now, and we will see him again in glory!
We praise the Lord for the time we had with Paps, we count it a blessing!

To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
A time to be born,
    And a time to die;
A time to plant,
    And a time to pluck what is planted;
 A time to kill,
    And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
    And a time to build up;
 A time to weep,
    And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
    And a time to dance;
 A time to cast away stones,
    And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
    And a time to refrain from embracing;
 A time to gain,
    And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
    And a time to throw away;
 A time to tear,
    And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
    And a time to speak;
A time to love,
    And a time to hate;
A time of war,
    And a time of peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Tomorrow afternoon is the funeral, where I will have the privilege to give the eulogy.
This is such an honor. How does one say within a few minutes enough about a person who had 76 years of living?! I don't believe we can,
what I do believe is we can show our love and honor, while celebrating his life!
My prayers is that others will get a glimpse of what his family saw in him.
Monday will be the graveside service...
we welcome your prayers.

Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart,
All you who hope in the Lord.
Psalm 31:24

I am so sorry for your loss but praise God you know you will see 'Paps' again. It is truly an honor you have giving the eulogy. I did that for my mom because she had only lived here a year and I wanted people to know who she really was before she got so sick. Bless you for being obedient to do this act of love for him.
