On Mother's Day
I woke to a hurry scurry sound from the kitchen,
which followed instructions to not come into the kitchen,
a bit later I was summonsed to enter the kitchen.....
This is what I saw!
A Mother's Day breakfast fit for a Queen....
Or a pregnant Mama who loves donut holes :)
And gifts too!
The children had decorated the tree with the littles hand prints in bright yellow paper,
the hand prints were a gift within itself.
The tree topper was the butterfly from Mary Ann's birthday
3 days before, yet, the M could also stand for Mother :)
My Mother's Day Feast:
*Hashbrown Breakfast Casserole
And a Chocolate Chip Cookie for after dinner,
when I was treated to Cracker Barrel:)
I was blessed by all the effort the children took to make this Mother's Day
so very special for me. I'm still not even sure how or where
they found the time to sneak away to get gifts, flowers, and food,
since we had been so busy with last minute wedding details.
This is a Mother's Day I won't forget!
The best gifts I have ever been given!
I feel like Mother's Day is everyday,
from all the love, hugs, kisses, and chats
I have from my children each day.
