Last Friday Ruth Ella was sick, over the weekend we had a few more not feeling well. During the week a couple more were under the weather, but by yesterday morning I was thinking everyone was good to go. Not so, last night Wesley and Mary Ann had a fever accompanied by stomach ache and head yuck...Sigh*** Sickness can be so frustrating and is such a nuisance. Sickness doesn't care that we have a busy month, one that doesn't have time for uninvited guest such as itself. I hope Sickness will see all the tactics I'm using to get him to vacate the premises, armed with Lysol, Clorox wipes, Vitamin C, warm tea, and lots of praying...I need him gone ASAP! I refuse to allow Sickness to get the upper hand on our plans for the month. We had planned to celebrate Mary Ann's birthday on Sunday, a few days early. Since Sickness tends to last several days we want Mar Ann to feel her best for her party, so we are switching the party back to Wednesday her actual birthday. The things we had planned for this weekend and for next Wednesday, we just moved around. Sickness may have been annoying enough to make us adjust our schedule, yet, he hasn't defeated us. In a sense I would have to say his intrusion has had me slow down a bit and take a deep breath....while doing so the Lord had me see I was going to miss some special moments during the month while trying to "get it all done"! While regrouping and waiting for Sickness to leave, I have already taken in some very sweet moments, definitely moments I could have missed....Oh how I love being a Mama to those who are sick or well, this is the best job in the world :)
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things.
Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:34
