A Jumbled of Thoughts....

It's June and we have been busy on the home front and at the store since the wedding. A good busy, but nonetheless busy. We have had some rearranging and changing bedrooms/jobs/chores since Amanda was married, here at home and also at the store. Thankfully the transition has gone smoothly, and everyone quickly moved into their new position or spot easily. Our life is now getting into a new norm, well, as normal as it can be during summer. You see summer is our very busy time at the store, which requires our entire family to be extra flexible and willing to help out in whatever capacity they are needed. Truly having a routine in the summer months is a joke, the only real routine we can keep in the summer is waking/naps/bedtime, working hours at the store, and breakfast/lunch...dinner time is whenever the store chores are complete. I'm thankful our children do well with being flexible...they definitely get this from their father, as he works well flying by the seat of his pants, so to speak :)  I too have had to make some changes, yes,
even the Mama has new task to do.

Are you now wondering what the point to this blog post is? I'm wondering that myself  ?!?

My mind these days is a large jumble of thoughts...
They bounce around like a big rubber ball....
Often times my thoughts drift in like the tide,
only to roll out quickly...
A few times I held some thoughts at a distance,
they were still in grasp much like a kite on a string....
Then one huge gust of wind blows in and
 ~POOF~
The thoughts are almost gone,
they're still in sight but jumbled up in a tree,
but out of reach....
SIGH*******

I would love to blame these thoughts coming and going on being 31 weeks pregnant
and having pregnancy brain...
Or because I'm now without a 'big' person (my other brain) home to help out....
But using that as an excuse would just be a cop out!

(pictures taken at 30 wks pregnant)

I'm in the process of trying to capture and hold my thoughts captive,
I'm going back to what works best to help me do that....
Written List, Journal, & Wall Calendar!
OK, call me old school...
I love things written down, I'm most definitely a visual person.

~Prayerfully~
in the days ahead I can finish the many things I have halfway started,
 like...

*2 letters *1 thank you *5 Emails in drafts
(forgive me if your waiting on replies)
 * 2 Parcels to mail  *a giveaway to post
*Second semester grades and attendance
*lesson plans for summer schooling
*A "real" grocery list...you know the one where you need everything!

I also have 9 blog post in draft form, the post just need words....
As Pa Kettle would say,
"I'll get to that one of these days"

There you have it a blog post that rambled and is full of jumble...
Thank you if you made it to the end of this post, you were to kind ;)
Now I'm off to bed for some proper rest,
it's a new day tomorrow with lots to think about, hold captive, and much to accomplish!

Commit your works to the Lord,
And your thoughts will be established.
Proverbs 16:3

On the way home from town tonight I told John that I was planning my week in my head and when we got home I would need to write it all out otherwise my thoughts just bounce around in my head till I do ;-) haha!

Love the pictures! You look pretty in bright colors and perfectly healthy.

Hoping you got my pkg and letter.

Praying for you tonight sweet Mama!

I love you! You are so real and such a typical woman who voices how her brain works! I can totally relate to what you are saying - - been there, done that - - and am still there sometimes. Part of it comes when we do get a busy season and like you, I put it on paper, too. Somewhere in one of those organization books, it is written that if we write it down, it doesn't keep bouncing around in our head with us trying to remember it, thus reducing stress. So you are doing what the experts say! Then once you start crossing it all off, it gives you a sense of accomplishment.
You are doing great adjusting to a new normal.

You speak from the heart! You are a blessing! One leaving the nest causes all to make adjustments! Sounds like you all are doing great! Have a blessed week!

Laura, you look absolutely stunning! I LOVE to write things down as well, I am a paper and pen person also. I just can't get a handle on the tech gadgets. You can't see everything all at once.

We have Jamin's graduation party this Sat. and I must get my thoughts in order, so working hard this morning. Understanding the jumble of thoughts...

My sister and family are in from AZ but have been sick in between all our visiting; they even came with us to your church to visit when our children led worship a couple Sundays ago. I was so hoping to see you. We had a wonderful time! We will just have to keep up with each other's blog.

I will be praying for you to have clarity in this time as I am doing for me right now.

Have a blessed day in the Lord!

Always Experiencing Him,
Jody

Your countenance glows... Such a beautiful reflection of Christ even if you do feel scattered. :) Thinking of you as you sort out all of your "to do's", praying that the Lord gives you a mind of clarity.

I have tried the whole technological organisation tools, but I always go back to good old pen & paper.
I loved this random, scattered post ~ so often I'm like that as well!
You look beautiful in your pictures!!
Have a wonderful day
