Your children are so good, are they always this well behaved?

We hear this often, and it always a nice complement.
We have tried to teach of children how to act and conduct themselves.
Like anything training our children takes time and energy.
It's most definitely worth it so as not to have a bunch of wild idians running about.
I'm very thankful that my kiddos 'know' how to act.
Mary Ann looking sweet and lovely for a picture~

This question always gets me thinking...
Are they always this well behaved????

This is the answer I normally give...
"most of the time, but we all have our moments":)

On this particular day it was Susanna's birthday, I wanted some pictures of the 3 little girls together. The thing was it was H-O-T outside! Mary Ann didn't care for the heat...
sitting for pictures...being told to smile...or anything else!
So, she sat with a grumpy face...
Which then turned into this position!!!!

This is when the famous question always comes to mind....
~Are they always this well behaved~

And my answer....
"most of the time, but we all have our moments"

I still wouldn't change my answer...
Mary Ann wasn't acting perfect , she was having a moment...
You know where the flesh creeps in...sigh*

In all honesty, I believe we 'all' have those moments...
Times when we aren't so lovely.
I see these times as teachable moments...
In my life I've had many of these moments myself,
where the Lord has been loving and shown me a better way to behave/respond.
I feel blessed to have these little people to help grow and learn...
sometimes they teach me way more than I do them!

As far as the pictures that day,
they turned out just fine....
I'm not one who cares for the big cheese smiles.
I'd much rather have those candid natural moments
that truly shows each kiddos personality.

Great truth! So thankful for a Heavenly Father who is so patient and kind towards me when I "have those moments"!

I think she looks really cute, especially that middle one. I'm sending you an email too. Let me know if you don't get it soon, I think I still have your email if it hasn't changed.

I love God's timing on this post. You may have heard that I gave your children a "shout out" in our Sunday School Department when I taught the women this past week. Part of it was making your home a sanctuary and NOT treating your siblings like they get treated in public school. After explaining that was my rule at home, I then went on to tell the women I (years) later found out that unkind words were still sometimes exchanged between them behind my back. My final comment was we should have you (Laura) give us your secrets on that subject because The Munck "Kids" were the nicest kids in all of Cleveland. You should have seen the nods of agreement.
