Home Restoration....

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder~

I definitely believe that statement fits when looking at the first picture above. In May 2012 we purchased the little yellow farm house and 30 acres of land. The land was overgrown, the barns were in poor condition, and the little yellow house....
Well, it was a mess!
The little yellow house had hay bales being stored on the front porch, it had been half way gutted inside by the previous owners,
windows were broken, and little varmints were using it as their home:-0 The Lord allowed us to see past all of that and gave us a vision for the house and land, I'm so thankful He did! It has taken lots of hard work, sweat and pulling together to get the house/land/barns where they are today.

We are still in the restoration process with the house,
we hope to be moved in way before Christmas
the end of the year.

Once the house is complete I'll share pictures of the
before and during process...
along with the after.

I'm going to comment here because it's your most recent post. However, my comment is going to cover several posts because it's been several months since I had visited your blog.
First and foremost, Congratulations! On the news of your new grand baby on the way and your own happy news--how wonderful to be expecting twins!
Secondly, I wanted to thank you for sharing about Jonathan. Our next door neighbor's son has DS, and our younger girls have been the best of friends with him since they were old enough to toddle around the yard together. Although he was not always able to communicate verbally, they always found a way and we have been blessed to have him in our lives. It makes me sad to think of the number of babies aborted just because they didn't fit the world's standard of normal. Finally, I wanted to thank you for your post on being free. I think that too often, we get caught up in what others are doing and take up a mantle or cause that we have no business taking up. How glorious it is when we find that freedom that Christ (even if we have to find it more than once! ;-))!
It was a pleasure to catch-up with your beautiful family and I hope that it won't take me months to catch-up with you again. :-)
